Furniture objects, doors and windows within ARCON are o2c based objects, loaded into a completed ARCON designed project. Although most of these objects are created using Auto Desk's 3D Studio Max™ these objects are unusable within ARCON in their natural 3DS form, because the file size is too large when hundreds of these objects have to be manipulated in a single project. So o2c's first task is to compress the 3DS file format. This then enables 1000's of objects to be stored within a catalogue on a CD.
o2c Composer allows the ARCON 3D user to set animation points within the o2c object and also manipulate/swap the original textures. As thousands of objects were developed to create furniture and architectural elements to support ARCON, it quickly became clear, that o2c was a very powerful tool, and should be developed as a standalone product.
